Rush going on tour

They'll also be touring with a keyboard player to take some of the work off Lee. I suspect it will still be an entertaining show.

Sucks to lose Neil, but I'm kinda glad they're still willing to go out and perform.

Rick Beato's thoughts on the new drummer. She looks plenty capable.

I wish I had seen Rush back in the day! Where I’m staying right now (Niagara on the Lake) is actually just a 20 minute drive from where Neal Peart grew up, in Port Dalhousie Ontario. He was born in Hamilton Ontario, where both of my parents were born and raised (they didn’t know him but it’s possible that they crossed paths)

I'm a longtime fan and I approve of what they are doing, but if Lee is already open to having help on keyboards then I wish he would seek help on vocals. He has a unique voice and it's a key part of Rush's sound, but unfortunately his voice has been a problem for years and is not where it needs to be for this. People just want to see them play again, for sure, but please tag someone else in for the vocals.

When I first heard about this today I thought it was a joke. I am glad it's for real though and I wish Geddy, Alex and Anika and whoever else joins in the very best with this tour. It will be interesting to see and hear. I know Anika will play to the best of her ability, while also respecting the music and the Rush legacy without trying to be a carbon copy of Neil. I have seen her on Youtube and she is a very talented drummer in her own right. I don't know how to say it politely but I also hope they bring in a different vocalist. Geddy's voice was bad on the R30 tour and even worse on R40. There are Rush tribute bands out there with singers both male and female that would do a great job on the vocals, if Geddy and Alex decided to go that route. Regardless, this tour will make a lot of Rush fans very happy.

All these aging rock stars can’t quit touring. They must be addicted to the rush (sorry…) they get from the crowds, energy, and adulation.
I imagine it has a very powerful pull. Also a crapton of money.
KISS, GFR, Stones, DLR, GNR, and many more, all not at their best.

As a drummer myself and a huge Rush fan, I could not be more happy for these guys! These guys need to play and we want to hear and see them. Fantastic!

Loosing Neil is such a loss and HE will never be replaced. The guys however need to get back on stage and do something. I like the idea we will see a few more new players on stage to free Geddy up to get out front and off the keys, have some fun and move around on stage! How cool is that? I would have been happy if those guys formed a blues band or whatever as long as these guys can keep playing and giving to us fans. IMO. These guys are simply way to talented and gifted to be playing in a basement home studio, I will enjoy a new Rush venture no matter what it is...

I saw video of Motley Crue's most recent tour. Instrumentally they still held up but Vince Neil's "singing"...wow. He could barely blurt out every 3rd word at best, it was painful to watch.

Hoping to get tix for the June show in Ft Worth with a group of friends.

Saw Styx this past summer and I'm a fan of Todd Sucherman on drums. Very talented.

It’s sad to hear when singers lose what they once had. For me the one that really stands out is James LeBrie from Dream Theater. I have seen them live 5 times since 2019 and James voice in concert is cringe worthy now. Can’t hit the notes anymore and is very pitchy 😵‍💫

Rush has already added more shows to the tour, really they added two additional shows at every venue already planned except Mexico City. The fan response just from what I have seen on the Rush Fan Club website alone has been phenomenal. There have been a few 'No Neil, No Rush" comments but nearly all of their fans are on board big time with this tour. This is going to be huge and I think it will get even bigger as time goes on.
