I have a hunch that you would be better off with dino Rotella 15w40 in a MC application. You don't need the cold weather pumpability of the 5w40 and I suspect that the 15w40 is more shear stable.

If I were concerned about shear stability, I'd go with the 5W40 synthetic over dino.

Every walmart in New York has this oil for sale, 16 dollars and change for a gallon, or 4 dollars and change for a quart.

Couldn't you just get someone at your company to go by Wal-Mart on their way home and guy a gallon, and then ship it to you the next day?
