Imagine someone doing this to your mother or grandmother causing her to crash resulting in injury or worse? What they did to bunnspecial is basically assault.Sounds like you routinely "handle" bad drivers yourself as often as you suggest things like this. Is that the case ?
Compensation of some strange sort maybe.I'm sure many of you are familiar with "rolling coal"-where basically diesel pickups are modified so that either on-demand or during acceleration they belch big thick clouds of black smoke.
I had one today that was a new one on me. It was a nice day, and I was out tooling around on some country roads at 45-55 topless in the MG-in other words perfect timing and conditions for it.
I went through a small town, and as we're leaving two lanes merge into one. I'm in the left lane(which is the one that "continues" rather than merging, if that makes sense), and ahead of me in the right lane is a lifted "Brodozer"
I slowed down and motioned for the driver to get over, which they did without hesitation. It was lifted enough that my car could have nearly fit under it, and frankly I'd rather them in front of me than behind.
In any case, the truck gets over, and the next second I'm enveloped in a cloud of soot that's coming from the truck's tailpipe. I can't see, I'm coughing, and when things finally clear there's gray/black soot EVERYWHERE on me and the car.
No idea what I did to provoke that, but it's the first time I've had someone direct this stupid practice at me personally. Aside from being a nuisance, it's frankly dangerous, or at least I felt it in that situation.
Unfortunately, unless the police catch them(yes, my state does have a law against it) I'm guessing there's nothing that can be done.
Karma can be a good thing in some cases.I recall some little man in his POS Super Duty doing this to me while I was on my motorcycle. After I passed him, his POS didn't handle the curves nearly as well as my sportbike. It ended poorly for him and his POS.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes...
These types are unfortunately pretty common in my locale. Most of them tend to be fairly young with a well heeled dad/mom, and live in the basement of the very large and well appointed family domicile.I'm sure many of you are familiar with "rolling coal"-where basically diesel pickups are modified so that either on-demand or during acceleration they belch big thick clouds of black smoke.

It seems like they want to though, both JH Diesel as well as Brent from PFI made YouTube videos about how the EPA came in and demanded a list of names/addresses they sold parts too.The EPA is cracking down on the companies making the tuners. But not people that have installed them. I have a PSD and its all stock. I need to breathe clean air as do my kids and grandkids.
The EPA is one of the federal agencies in the alphabet soup mix that I would hate to see show up at my door. Actually most all of them.It seems like they want to though, both JH Diesel as well as Brent from PFI made YouTube videos about how the EPA came in and demanded a list of names/addresses they sold parts too.
When you argue with one of these mouth-breathers, you end up getting down to their pathetic intelligence level and they beat you with experience.
Let the law deal with these miscreants.
I still think it was installers rather than individuals. It seems like they want to though, both JH Diesel as well as Brent from PFI made YouTube videos about how the EPA came in and demanded a list of names/addresses they sold parts too.
the only way.Confiscate a few of those trucks and put them directly into a scrap crusher and the trend will die out quickly.
