Roku issues

I am having issues with my Roku. It's maybe 1 to 2 years old and new enough to be able handle live TV.
Two issues:
I click on YouTube and it says not enough space. It says I may need to delete a channel. Tried to delete a few and did not help. But rebooting does the trick.

On various channels I get a lot of buffering. I have 75Mbs fiber. Reboot the Roku and it seems to go no longer buffer.

I had the same issues with my Fire stick the last 4-5 days. Never before on several tvs when on youtube
Reboot worked

what model roku there are about 20. when you bought it isnt enough because they sell old models too.
a quick google suggests it might be a software bug see if there is an update available.

You may be able to use a 16 GB micro SD card to be able to store more channels without reloading-and, if your "Buffering" issue is on the Spectrum app, welcome to my nightmare! The app is outdated, delisted from the Roku store, and I can't use Spectrum cable without it (or paying $6-ish more a month for a cable box). All my other channels work fine.

I was thinking that the Roku would do automatic updates?

Try updating, then rebooting before anything else

Most ROKU devices have expandable memory. Have a spare SD card laying around?

- Manually update the system firmware.
- Stick in an old microSD card. It does not have to be large. Anything will help, even a 1GB will probably double the onboard channel storage.

And if that doesn't help, wipe and reactivate it. Not a big deal to do so.
