Rockauto has Mann filters now.. under 3 bucks!

Was scooter pootin around on rock auto and noticed they carry Mann air and oil filters now.

ML-1010 (wix 51522) is $2.29

ML-1005 (wix 51516) is $2.52

I might have to order some. I had ordered some on amazon to give them a whirl and the were like 5 bucks.

so I'm pretty stoked.

I havn't tried searching any others, but I hope this is a sign they will starting stocking more mann. since Im on RA alot and just now noticed a Mann listing for my car

I saw that on RA the other day. I think these are US-made Purolator clones, not the European versions. It's still a good price for a good filter, but it's not an amazing price for something made by people getting paid in Euros.

The fuel filter for my 240d I got at AA (They love Purolator) was a puro box with either a Mann or Bosch painted filter inside.

If puro is making those under contract, it's rather funny they'd have the paint discrepancy. Of course they expect a filter only going on German cars should have a Euro name to make the customer think they're getting something awesome.

Mann was the cheapest air filter for this car on amazon or anywhere else. I suspect they're pretty mainstream overseas and have some sort of snob factor here, just by their exclusivity (eg not being in walmart.)
