Robot or human?

I'm seeing a number of links that people post showing "Robot or human?" as the text that's visible (the link itself is okay and works). This thread, https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/good-oil-drain-pan.351074/, has a few examples. It's not related to ad-blockers either. Just noticed that (2) of the links go to Walmart while another WM link didn't get changed to "Robot or human?".

What's this about ? Just a glitch ?

I get that using Firefox. Once in while I have to choose all the squares showing traffic lights to prove I'm human before my browser will open.

Yes, that is WalMart's web server serving the alt-text "Robot or Human". When I look at the link above, it's plain html, so when XenForo does an 'unfurl' the WalMart web server presents a captcha, which the XF unfurl ignores, but does display the alt-text. I wish XF would just present the URL when the unfurl function runs into captcha.

Below is the URL linked from the post above. I set URL unfurl="true" on the first link and URL unfurl="false"on the second link, both links are identical (hover to see). You see the results.

Even robots don't like the "human or robot" checks, lol.

Both of those links open exactly the same for me (laptop running Firefox) ... no robot check on either one.

There's a 3rd link in that same thread that it treated differently though and all three were Walmart. Since it wasn't consistent, it's why I was curious about what was happening.

I'll bet some people don't click the link (which doesn't impact or affect BITOG).

Any harm in setting all links to unfurl=false ?

We already do that for Amazon, because of a similar problem. Let me see if I can do it for Walmart.
