I used to have a user name here AtlasFBG2 but i dont have access to the email account anymore so i had to make a new user name.
Here is my oil sample from my 2018 Ford Fusion 2.5 liter 4 cylinder that i bought back in August. Carfax from the dealer showed it being a corporate car for its first three years and only 11,548 miles being put on it between June 2018 to November 2021. Second owner showed as a leased vehicle with 62,176 miles being put on between November 2021 to June 2024. I did a AutoCheck on it after i bought it and it showed it being a rental car for the second owner. Next used car purchase i will buy both reports and compare before purchasing.
I changed the dealer oil at 5,000 miles since i didnt know what they put in it. Also changed the transmission fluid doing three drain and fills. Added a bottle of Lubgaurd red and a tube of instant shudder fix on the last fill. Car did have a slight shudder just above 45 mph during the test drive. No problems with trans since the fluid change.
This oil sample is Walmart SuperTech full synthetic high mileage 5w20 oil. Used a Fram 3600 filter which is the longer version. Has 9,049 miles on this oil. I was going to run it to 10,000 miles since the oil life monitor still had 9% left. I had a idler pully making a squealing noise on cold start up and while changing it i dropped the socket and had to remove the belly cover to get the socket. So i changed the oil a little sooner since i had the cover off. It was raining that day but i changed the oil inside the garage. Maybe that is why is shows some moisture in the oil.
I got a great deal on a bunch of Fram synthetic 5w20 high mileage oil during a Advance Auto price glitch. Paid $1.48 per 5 quart jug. So I will be posting that Fram oil sample when i get 10,000 miles on it.
