Wow - I thought he was, well, immortal... Never thought this day would come. The best Bond in my eyes, and so many other great roles.

Darn, can this year get any worse?! I recall going to a then new Showcase Cinema in the mid 60's with my Dad in Lawrence that featured James Bond, 007 in "Thunderball" and also " "HELP!" starring those four Brit mop tops. I'll have to pull out my Submariner and wear it the rest of the year.

I always thought he was the best Bond. RIP
I'll second that. Roger Moore was fun in his way , but a lot more cheeky and not the aspirational Man's Man - as was Connery.

He introduced me and indeed the world to the most famous number of them all. I was about 8 years old watching the late, late movie and saw him portray Bond, James Bond in Dr. No.
He was simply the best. RIP good sir and godspeed.
