He was one of the original founding members of The Eagles. He played and sang on their first 5 albums, including Hotel California. He sang lead vocal on the song Take It To The Limit. Another good one gone. RIP.

As the story goes, Timothy B. Schmitt replaced Randy in POCO when Randy went over to the Eagles.
Then Timothy then again replaced Randy in the Eagles.
A sad story indeed.

Listened to EAGLES Debut and Desperado on C.D.. He had large presence on lead and back ground vocals . Next is On the Border and One Of These Nights on C.D..

RIP Randy, thanks for the wonderful music!

It is truly amazing how many bands and rock stars there are. Our generation may be the first to lose so many known music stars. I guess it is a function of the recording and concert industry. Their music and distinct sounds touched our souls, and we miss them terribly when they are gone.

They screwed Meisner and saved the last for Don Felder. Neither Frey nor Henly are very nice people, I do loves me some classic Eagles but at this point the band is more or less a sham/tribute act/Don Henely solo project. I would much rather see Felder live than pay $$$$ to see Eagles Mania...
