He was the lead guitarist in The Alan Parsons Project. He played on all of the Project's studio albums, and on Parsons' solo albums. He also played guitar on Kate Bush's first four albums. He was a great guitarist. Another good one gone. RIP.

 
I always confused him with Eric Woolfson. When I read the subject name, I said to myself "Huh, he's already been dead for years now". Loved his guitar solo in "Sirius". RIP Eric & Ian

It seems as if there has suddenly been an uptick in hearing this kind of sad news 😪

That is being repeated too often.

It is the fact older people tend to listen to the music they grew up with. The old rockers are past retirement age and are dieing off.

How many old people cared when Chester Bennington died? Some I sure. But Linkin Park is exactly the type of music you'd like if you were young again.

One of the best singers we lost at a young age this century in my opinion is Amy Winehouse at 27.
