I will remember him from the Clint Eastwood movies such as "Any Which Way But Loose," "Any Which Way You Can," and "High Plains Drifter"...he was also in "The Great Waldo Pepper" With Robert Redford, and he narrated the reading of some Christmas story that used to get aired on radio stations during the holidays...I don't think he ever played a lead role, but he was an awesome supporting actor...he will be missed!

I Just found out Juliette Lewis is his daughter - she a strange one - but a very good actress nonetheless I suppose.
I really always liked that guy in films. I never knew who his daughter is. I actually don't much care for her acting.....but her dad was great.
Wow. I just saw him in "The way of the gun" over the weekend and thought "that guys been in a lot of movies & TV, but I have no idea what his name is". Watched the credits, then looked him up on IMDB and found out that Juliette (who was also in that movie) was his daughter.

His best line ever was in the movie Tango and Cash, in which he plays a police captain. The Kurt Russell character was dressed as a woman for an undercover operation, and the captain says to him "I suggest you slip into something a little more butch."
