I liked his books, but he was a real car enthusiast. Every novel had some form of car chase, and often, the hero was in a Stutz, or Packard, or Hispano-Suiza, Delahaye, Aston-Martin, Bentley, or whatever Clive was thinking of that day. But the thing is - Clive actually owned all of those cars! He worked at a gas station in his early years, and loved cars. When the money from his novels started rolling in, he started collecting. I remember those references to cars in his novels. Sometimes in the back of the book there would be a picture of Mr Cussler in the same automobile he described in the novel. Not only did he write adventure, he lived it as well.

His last book has not yet been released. Journey of the Pharaohs. It's due out in March.

I have read all of the Dirk Pitt series. They were always great. I believe he has been writing with his son the past few years

When I lived in Denver around 1998, the MB Club had an outing to the museum, since it was right there in the metro area. Spectacular.
