Many thanks Blue. It will be both--DD and towing rig. It rides really nice for a 3/4 ton 4x4; it has the FX4 package which includes Rancho shocks and HD components.

I really like the Platinum decal on the side of the bed.....I may just look to add that to my Platinum F150.

Wow a manufacture date of 2/15 that truck has been on the lot for awhile, I'd say they are not flying off the lot!

The fact that the aluminum all new 16's are right around the corner must hurt sales.

Nice work truck hopefully it makes a lot of money! Those make pretty good plow trucks, just the sander rots the rear bumper and bed a bit.

Who cares how someone else spends their $$. If you want a truck and spend all your time in it commuting, no reason not to get all the goodies. Heck I use ours on weekends and to pull our camper and I wanted and got all the goodies. Never got the hate for nicely equipped trucks - no different than dropping $$ on anything nice.

Who would spend tons of $$ on a sports car? Who would want to drive some old clunker, no matter how "well maintained" it is?

The buyer said he would be using it for daily commute which is insane and brain numbing driving habits, drive a huge truck to work day in and day out.!!

If you really feel compelled to rubberneck and ask the question, the question should be "Who in the right mind would spend 50+K for a vehicle?" The fact that it is a Benz, BMW, Lexus, F350 or whatever is irrelevant. It is still a transportation device, no matter what the flavor.

You are missing the point. 14MPG is what these large trucks return, the vehicles you are talking about give easily >25MPG and retain value pretty [censored] good (the more the GVWR the more the wear) and we sure are going to be energy independent w/ lousy auto buying habits. Enough said.

We could be energy independent tomorrow. Shut off all oil, nat gas, etc exports and be done with it. We already have plenty here.

I fully understand the point, I was responding to the quote about spending 50K for a truck.
To me vehicle purchases are purpose driven. If one is going to buy a large trailer or fifth wheel (which it sounds like the OP has) then they need a suitable vehicle to transport it. He purchased an appropriate vehicle for the task. Purchasing a Chevy Malibu for the task would be an example of an inappropriate vehicle.
It is his money and right to purchase said vehicle. Good for him.
As far as energy independence, there are a lot of reasons that this nation will never achieve it, and since most are political, enough said .

Congrats on the new truck! I found the old one on Autotrader but no price or picture yet. Total miles is a hair under 158k. I just entered all the search criteria like color, trim package, state and a 500 radius. Then had the results listed with highest miles first.

Who are we to dispute what he says he got?

And an F250 weighs nothing near 10k lbs empty: 7668 in 4x4 crew cab with 6.7 and long wheel base (http://www.ford.com/trucks/superduty/specifications/view-all/)

Nice try but don't let the facts come between you and your hatred for trucks. Or your jealousy at how others spend their $$.
