ok,so i registered and it asks me if i want to add the computer i'm using.How do i add another computer that i want to work on that's far away? I didn't see any option for this? Thanks (cough,OVERKILL,cough)

Dont you just go to the website and login? Thats how i access it and it works from any computer...or are you asking about how to connect to another computer?

They might have a "logmein rescue" product you can have her install then let you take over.
Then you can install "regular logmein" on the remote machine.
If she can plug straight into her cable modem, tightvnc may be another good option. Just have her go to whatsmyip.org before she calls you with a question.

You have to log into your logmein account from her computer and add her computer to your account. Then you can log into logmein from any computer and connect to any of the computers in your account (including hers). The logmein free version recently limited the number of computers per account to 10 (if you eventually need to connect to more than that you just need to create a separate account).

Alternately, you can give her the credentials to your logmein account and she can log into your logmein account and add the computer. Once you (or she) logs into the account, this is what will be seen (just click the red circled button and follow the steps to add the machine):

Team Viewer is another great option that could be easier to get implemented.
If you are doing attended work for her, there are several simple file type programs that work well. You just send her the file, she runs it, and then you can connect to her computer and take over.

Been using this product for 5 years to support a client 2000 miles away (Log Me in Free).
Works beyond well. Yes you simply have them install the product on the remote machine. I am floored it simply works so well in a web browser.
It also sneaks around firewalls really well.
