Remote filter: 1 giant filter or two smaller ones?

I've been going back and forth for a whie now about putting dual remote filters on my Jeep 4.0. Most of the time I don't drive far enough to heat up my oil, so increased capacity isn't necessarily a good thing for me. I've decided to either use 1 very large remote filter, or two smaller ones. Which would be better, and why? I'm guessing the dual, since they should have more flow, right?

How big and how small?
Compare the surface areas of the 2 small VS the one large.
Unless you put the "small" filters in series, either should flow far more than you need.
Personally I'd go with one large filter. 2 small ones would probably cost more.

When it comes to external lubrication systems try to keep it as simple as possible. (ie minimum plumbing etc)

I always have that gut instinct of aircraft and how crucial those hydraulic lines are.

One filter is my recommendation, and since it is bypass I would think pressure drop is not a significant issue.

However, after reading the pro and cons of the Amsoil Dual Remote system I am now confused by this topic.

If it were mine, I'd stick with one top-of-the-line filter.

I'm a big fan of the Fleetguard LF3487.

Why complicate for little if any advantage? If you drove a bazillion miles a year, a trick filter systen would be fun to have. I would guess there would be no difference in the engine life. If you need to spend extra money on your car change all of the lubes more often.
