Reman Transmissions.

Whaitwhatwhathappenedherewhatsthethreadallabouthenwhatwhat?!?
I mean wasn't that the ultimate point of the thread? A reman place will just change what is needed and then whatever their internal rules dictate to change. We hardly ever have to take manual transmissions apart because they are such a small percentage of vehicles we service.

Where is the complete parts list and exploded view for this transmission?
Which Ford, USA, England Canada?
In any dealership's Ford cataloging. I'm sure Canada is the same as the US. I don't know what other region's catalogs are like. There isn't a "complete list" since it is split up into sections in the catalog based on what you are working on. I'm sure even fordparts.com has one.

This is what the Ford SnapOn catalog listing looks like. Other dealers use E-Cat or Microcat for their catalogs. FWIW we pay about $500/mo for our cataloging (I get the invoices and write the POs).

I signed up for some FoMoCo manual costs $20/day. Was told to download a whole slew of things I need and print them.
I bought a used FoMoCo Manual for our 99 3rd gen Escort. 2 volumes one mechanical and one body. Worth every cent.

Is there anything like an interchange manual now days?

Nope, all the catalogs are either accessed online with a paid license or via a disc subscription. A lot of the new vehicles don't even come with owner's manuals anymore. Helm is the official publisher for Ford and they will sell the manuals or discs. That is who we have to order from if we wanted one. We stopped getting physical shop manuals since they are all on OASIS.

Precisely, hence my startled jump, as my understanding was that this thread exists because the parts are otherwise impossible to find. That'll teach me to presume.
Not aiming this at anyone, just a general observation about being on the internet. So many people find the hardest way to do find parts instead of calling the dealer and at least asking. All we ask for is a VIN.

Dealer was my first go to with VIN in hand. Dealer could not get the new $2000 transmission. No kit available either. I would have gladly paid the $1600 labor if he could. Shop in town that has gone down hill wanted $5000 for the job w/used transmission, so I decided to do the job myself so I would know it was done right. Nothing I was looking forward to.

I intend to attempt rebuilding my original transmission.

Some things you want from a dealer and a lot of things are just way over priced. Aftermarket parts can be superior or low grade. Just have to know what you are buying.

I usually got Datsun parts from the Dealer as they were of very high quality.

There is no kit from Ford on these. You order everything individually from Ford.

Found exploded views of the B5/IB5 transmission but no Ford P/N for the parts. Did find 1st gear synchro set from different places in England. Apparently their B5 has close ratio gear set and lower final drive ratio.

Anybody know if ZKTOOL 5th gear removal tool for Focus IB5 will work with my 2013 Fiesta IB5 5speed?

Would be helpful if I knew the Ford P/N's for 1st gear synchro parts so I could get the parts from the local dealer.
