2013 Fiesta 5 Speed Manual. R & R input shaft seal. Installing used transmission. Replacing output shaft seals. Input shaft seal hard to find. Is YS4Z2704800 the right part?.
Any advice on removing and replacing the seal?

No, the input shaft seal number is CN1Z7048A. It is very available. If your local dealer doesn't stock it, I know we sure don't, it should be overnight or at worst 2 days out. These are all the Ford PDCs in the US and their quantities on hand.

I am getting conflicting #'s for the input shaft seal.

Part Number: YS4Z7048AA
Supersession(s): YS4Z-7048-AA
View YS4Z7048AA Manual Transmission Input Shaft Seal Full-Sized Product Image for 2013 Fiesta and CN1Z7048A for 2014 to 2019.

I am guessing they are both dimensionally the same, and that CN1Z7048A may have better material in it. That would be unless the 2013 shaft has a different O.D. and or the case has a different I.D.

Another issue is that I do not know what the year of the used transmission is. Anyway to I.D. it? Found numbers on a white tag on it:
BA6R 7002 AA AA7
TRQ2A 101110 00886

That fits 2011-2015 Fiesta IB5.

I went to a 2012 Fiesta listing which shows both and there is a build date split. Usually a salvage yard, at least the ones that I deal with, will give the VIN from the vehicle that the assembly came from either on the invoice or upon request to verify it is correct.

No VIN on paperwork. Thought about contacting salvage yard.
Thinking I will buy both seals to compare with what's in the used transmission.

CN1Z-7048-A and YS4Z-7048-AA appear to be almost the same seal.

CN1Z-7048-A maid in Brazil FORD 437A 96WT-7048-A9A BRUSS 11 >FE/ACM< AS 21,5X48X8,4 RF
YS4Z-7048-AA maid in Spain FORD F437A 96WT-7048-A9A BRUSS 15 >FE/ACM< AS 21,5X48X8,4 RF

These are the numbers off of the seals themselves. They appear to be dimensionally the same.

I am going to put the YS4Z-7048-AA one in the used transmission along with new half shaft seals. I will save the CN1Z-7048-A seal for when I rebuild the transmission that I just removed from my car.
