Hi everyone,

Looking for experiences / ideas about a good source for a complete (rebuilt & ready to go) left side cylinder head for my MitsuMopar 3.0L SOHC. Allied, Nutech, etc. Let me know who sells good ones. Thanks!

What is wrong with the head that it cannot be machined? Machining a head it not nearly as complex as machining a block.

I bought an engine from Marshall Engines (through RA). A couple of wrinkles but worked out fine.

It's got multiple issues and considering how much time this car has already spent in the shop in 2024, I would prefer to get this overwith quickly. Turns out there's only about $100 difference between getting it machined and just buying one that's already ready to go, with a 1-2 year warranty.

Just remember with a reman there is a certain set of parts that are always replaced regardless of the condition. With a rebuilt only parts that are no longer usable (no longer within spec) are replaced. So make sure you compare apples to apples.

I looked at a few companies and it looks like (in my estimation) the heads are rebuilt rather than remanufactured as they don't have a set of parts that are always replaced rather they machine all the parts and replaced the ones that cannot be machined.
