Haven't seen threads here on the Redline WT race oils. So I figured I'd post my Blackstone Labs results.
The engine is a 2001 LS1 in my 1992 Camaro Race car.
It's used for Road racing and Autocross.
Although the mileage between these oils varies a lot, the WT race oils do seem to do better.
The 40WT especially.

The most recent 40wt result was after 15x 20min minute track sessions & 132 autocross laps.
Oil temps are typically 275F stable.
The 40WT thinned out a tiny bit after 2000 mi & dropped about 5 PSI of idle oil pressure. That's why I changed it.

I think next I'm going to test the Lucas Race Oil conventional 20W50.
Apparently a lot of stock car guys run it in LS engines. the oil is only $6 a quart. That means I can change the oil three times as often as the red line and still spend less money.

To me, the tests don't mean much. The large amount of make up oil during the short runs skews the test results.
Yeah, the oil intervals are kind of all over the place.
But the fact that I used this 40WT for three times as long and and still got better wear results.
That in itself shows a lot.

I searched this forum and didn't seem like anyone had any information on the red line race oil at all. so I figured I'd post something for the google searches.

Did the engine get worked on just before the Mobil 1 run? The silicon in particular shows high at first, and has dropped to more normal values, suggesting new rtv applied. I didn't know RL contained titanium, or do you have titanium parts in the engine?

I'd be curious about a conventional 20W-50, I don't expect it to stay up in grade

But you're drawing a unwarranted conclusion that it is due to the oil.

Read what @dnewton3 wrote above.

We did a lot of UOA's in our 944 race cars...The fact is that you'll rebuild that motor long before an "oil strategy" will do you any good....I'd run Valvoline 20w50, add as necessary and change it after 8-10 hours. What is total sump capacity ? You're adding 3 quarts between OCI's....Gonna be hard to draw any meaningful conclusions. Save the UOA test $$ and put it towards a rebuild.

BITOG- "Lab reaults are anecdotal and meaningless".
Also BITOG- "Argues about a new oil test for 100 pages"
Never change, guys, never change.
Anyways.

A few Stock Car guys who run rental race car businesses, run this 20w-50 lucas race oil. They've had good results in the 427LS the cars are running. Some have over 10 race seasons on them.
So I might try that oil. I'll make another meaningless anecdotal thread with the results.
Hard to beat $130 for 5 gallons.

Yes keep the meaningless,
anecdotal, and non-scientific threads coming. Looking forward eagerly to reading them and drawing stone tablet conclusions from them.
Noooo you can't just post oil tests!
You need to scientifically post data on your wife's Kia!

This place never disappoints 😂

The problem comes in when people actually believe that an uncontrolled spectrographic analysis with multiple uncontrolled variables means what they imagine it to mean.

Some other posters never disappoint either.
