I am going to change the differential oil in my truck this week sometime and I will be doing it at work. After I am done I will need to drive the truck home and I am wondering if that will be okay right after finishing. I know the RTV sealant will not be completely cured by then but with still about 10 bolts holding the cover on, will I be okay?

Longer is better.
Not cleaning the substrates well, and short cure times before contact with oil are #1 and #2 reasons for RTV failure.
This normally does not need any special tools. Any reason to do it at work? This can be done at home, or a friend's driveway or garage.

I'd prefer to do it at work because we have a nice shop with a lift and all that cool stuff. I guess I will do it in the driveway at home though. Sigh.
