Should I get my CVT fluid changed again after just having it done very recently?

I had the transmission fluid on my 2012 Toyota Corolla Altis changed for the first time in its life 2 weeks ago. For context, I bought it Jan 2025 at 43,000km and it's at 51,000km right now. Pretty much this thing's only ever seen city driving because it's never left the traffic-ridden streets of Cebu Philippines.

It's a 2.0V model with a K111 CVT, so last month I ordered Aisin CFEX+ fluid for it plus a replacement filter and gasket. The fluid arrived on time but my shopping app told me they had issues shipping the filter & gasket, so I assumed it just got lost in the Christmas rush sauce and pushed through with the fluid change sans them. Got it done at the nearby Toyota dealership and they said they'd just reuse the old filter and apply gasket sealant.

I've been driving it monitoring for leaks for a couple days and everything seems fine and dandy, but to my surprise the filter and gasket arrived literally this morning.

Seems like a waste to not use them, but I don't think it's possible to replace them after the fact without the fluid draining out and needing to be refilled anyway. Would it not be a dumb idea to order another 4L of CFEX+ and get it replaced yet again? I've only driven it some 200km or so since the transmission service. Will appreciate responses, advanced happy new year!

The filter on an AT / CVT is not critical unless it is heavily loaded with material which is very unlikely unless there was a major issue.

What's most important is keeping the transmission pan and magnets clean and I recommend annual cleaning until they stay "clean", then follow the mfg recommendations for severe service.

What is the fluid capacity of the CVT vs what was used for the service?

Don't waste your time. Drive for 40-50,000 miles and change filter at that time.
Yeah that's pretty much my original plan anyway. 30-40,000km for me because I'm looking to follow the severe service schedule. Thanks!

Noted on everything you said, I appreciate it. According to the manual, total fluid capacity is 8.9L, but draining and taking down the pan only takes out 4L or so. That's why I only bought one can of 4L Aisin.

If it says 4L I would order 5L unless it's full drain of something like a differential.

In that case I would plan to drop the pan again after approx a tank of fuel (another drain, cleaning & fill).

I usually do 3-5 drain & fill on a new-to-me transmission to try and get it reasonably clean. Drop the pan on the first & last drain for cleaning and inspection. The next inspection after a year or during the next engine oil change and go from there.
