Hey guys just wanted to update those of you that were curious about running the D4 in place of T-IV. I have logged about 15,000 miles on my 2006 Camry SE thus far.
When I started this run with Red Line I performed a cooler line flush and installed a Manefine as well. The old T-IV was black and only had 21,000 miles ( the car was from colorado). Before the switch to D4 the car had what is known as (transmission flare) which alot of toyota DBW ( drive by wire) cars suffer from. It also shifted very rough and stumbled in parking lots.
After the switch the harsh shifting was gone. The flare is only cured by re setting the ECM which i dont really care about, not a big deal. And the fluid is bright red like the day it was installed. I am going to be sending a sample in here in a few weeks.
