I'm right now changing the oil in our honda 3.5L over to RL 5w20 but I noticed that the color of the oil in three of the five are a greenish or grayish and the other two are goldish like normal oil. Whats up with that? Is this ok?

I ordered a WHOLE case of Redline 10w30 from Advance auto, when I received the case and opened up a bottle of oil for a oil change, all bottles had the greenish grayish color. Not the standard honey-comb redline color. Was thinking about calling or e-mailing but I know there not going to tell me anything useful.

For those who care this is what Dave at redline said.
"there can be an appearance
difference between batches of the motor oil, we don't dye that
product. One of our additives used will occasional come through as a
greenish color other times and more often the familiar red color. It
is strictly a difference in appearance no difference in function or
performance."

RedLine is missing an opportunity...
They should have issued a limited batch of oils labeled "GreenLine", changed the blend a little with some "exotic" esters, dyed it bright green, lowered the price by a dollar and started selling it for $6 per qt or so at the places like www.myoilshop.com and AutoZone, changed the color of the bottle and the bottle label to clearly differentiate the new item from the "regular" RedLine.
And see their sales and profits explode.

O, almost forgot about the smell. Please, make it smell like peaches...

Maybe Elf Central Intelligence and Redline are up to something very nice
Not likely, although it could explain why GC is now gold colored.. RL is using the green component GC is leaving out!
