When they ask for my receipt, I look left and right several times with my eyes wide open, and run out as fast as I can screaming.
I'll keep quiet here...
Whats so sad about this is it all started to protect the store from dishonest employees. Cashiers that would give their friends free stuff by not ringing it up. It sucks that they screw with the customer because of a few bad employees.

Sure ...a cop can do that. But seeing as the Walmart goon will have a hard time equating calling him an XXXXXXXX to reasonable threat to others..then he might have a bit of trouble doing it.

I don't agree with it at all. I hate it. The way I look at it is like this. If there are signs posted saying something to the affect of "all bags subject to search" then it's fair game. Otherwise, leave me alone. Afterall, if you are an honest person and you did pay for the stuff, isn't it now yours? I know down here in FL the State as a hole is looking into it. The Walmart near my house does not check receipts anymore if the stuff is in a Walmart bag. If you just bought a TV or something like that and it is not in a bag, they will still check the receipt before you leave the store.
