Just got my inspection done... rears are at 3/32. Shop wants $620 to do rear pads and rotors. Oooofff!

I put a Powerstop Z36 Truck/Tow brake and rotor kit on my front two months ago - happy so far. The only other brand I was looking at is EBC. Thoughts?

Is the Truck & Tow the cheese grater rotors? Mostly a gimmick if so.

The last Tundra I did was just Import Direct stuff from O'Reilly.

If you must have high zoot, it looks like RA has kits from Dynamic Friction and Brembo. I might try one of those. I just put a Brembo kit on the rear of an '08 Range Rover but I can't really say if performance is any better than anything else.

I ordered Advics from Rock Auto. I typically know who makes the factory stuff - in this case I did not. I was always happy with Toyota Rotors/Pads on my 2006 Tacoma as well as my son's 1998 4Runner.

I've always used the factory Toyota pads on my 2007 Tundra...just turned 372,000 miles. Rotors are original at both ends. I think the front rotors were turned once at the dealer. They always check the run out and thickness and tell me they are fine and slap another set of pads on, and bleed them. :) Occasionally tow a horse trailer...they work fine.

For aftermarket pads on Japanese cars, I’ve always liked Akebono. I have DFC on a Genesis and Fit, so far so good. Toyota’s TCMC pads will be similar to Akebono or Advics. Warranty pads will the same ones the car came from the factory.

That said, a neighbor had Indian-made BrakeBest Select(DBxxxx-xx edge codes, made by MAT Roulunds in India) pads on a RAV4. They worked surprisingly well - a little noisy but I didn’t hear the characteristic clunk aftermarket pads make on Toyotas. Wagner and Raybestos especially.

I've used Power Stop Z17 ceramic rear brake pads on an Infiniti QX60 and Mazda 9. Both sets worked just fine. Quite inexpensive at RockAuto.com.

I think @edyvw, has personal experience with this model. Further, any chance he can rip on Toyota he's right there. Regardless, I value his input on this site. (y)

Lol.
EBC pads and rotors. Pagid pads.
Toyota pads longevity wise are fine, performance wise, I will just keep quiet.
Rotors are, well, I will still stay quiet.
