Realtors in Florida

No disrepect to anyone but as everyone is screaming costs are too high, builders are cutting costs were they can. Tract homes are going to be the worst. Finished living space will be $350 psf whereas a garage space will be $65 or lower.

The last house I built had a 4 car garage that was large enough to keep 4 cars at the same time with the doors open. The limiting factor though is wind ratings on the garage door. This becomes a wind mitigation issue.

And no, I never had 4 cars in there and towards the end I was lucky to get 1 car and my Harley in it.
Just watched Dee the realtor in Winter Haven.. A new build..
He notes only one coach garage door light to save cost in a 2500 square ft house. If your cheating on that, what's behind the walls...geez

Five bedroom, no thanks. Three bedrooms and a bigger garage is all we need. Hard pass on a pool too. ;)

I feel you on the pool. Had a house one time with a pool. It indeed was a hole in the ground you just kept throwing money into. Probably spent $8,000+ in 7 years in repairs and it STILL leaked. Not to mention all the chemicals, electricity, and extra water bill. Nope. Never again!

My feelings exactly, and it doesn't do your homeowner's policy any favors either.

Insurance wasn't bad, but this was Mississippi we were talking about :ROFLMAO:

I was required to keep a fence up. Not that me or the dogs minded that!
I hear ya. Florida vs. Mississippi's insurance rates? My bet is Florida is way, way higher, it's higher than L.I. and we pay a lot for insurance. I think the fence is probably mandatory no matter where you live.

It's high everywhere it seems. I updated mine to account for the garage and half bath additions. THAT one hurt!

I understand how it goes with all that, it's basic home ownership. Some people just get blind-sighted and I'm just sitting here going "yeup"
