I ran a strong Seafoam and gas mixture(3/4 gallon gas,one 16 ounce can Seafoam)through my two stroke outboard to de-carb it. Although lots of white smoke came out,and it ran better,the pistons tops are still pretty black. What product would work best at cleaning the rest of the carbon off? I assume putting it right in the spark plug holes and letting it soak would be the best way. I know I could use Seafoam Deep-Creep and I have both LC and FP. Is there anything better than these though?

From what I've seen so far your best shot with a solvent is to soak it, hot if possible, and then follow up with a fuel additive. Maybe dump a bunch into a hot engine intake, and then kill the engine to let it soak. They don't seem to remove the hard carbon in a one step cleaning.
I would pull plugs and pour it in. Just remember not to start it with the plugs and all that Seafoam in it too.

Thanks for the input guys. MolaKule great thread. I`m going to take Blano up on his advice on using Mercury`s Powertune and after keep it clean by using Mercury`s Quickclean as a maintenance dose.
I have been running FP at 1 ounce per ten gallons in the fuel and LC at 1/2 ounce per quart in the two stroke oil(Amsoil HPI). This seems to be more than enough,huge amounts of fuel go through this motor compared to a car engine. It didn`t prevent the motor from carboning up and fouling plugs. Part of this(or most) was because I was in a Marina for two weeks with only 93 octane available. By the end of the two weeks the motor was spitting raw fuel and idling terrible. The FP and LC only seemed to get the carbon gummy and chunky and not burn off,fouling the plugs. Mercury`s products are designed to work in a cooler running(140 degrees I believe)two stroke and should work better. I think LC and FP need heat to be effective. That and only running 87 octane should help a lot,we`ll see.
