looks great for a boosted motor. those 2.0 ecoboost are excellent engines. the 1.5 had the gasket issue the 2.0 hasnt had that problem. I almost never hear of any issues with them. Keep fresh oil in it and it should last a long time.

Looks very good for a long OCI engine. I didn’t know that Range Rover used Ford (actually Mazda) engines in some of their vehicles.

Ford and RR began a partnership in 2000, Ford bought them in 2005 and sold them in 2008. Ever notice how the explorer from that era looks a whole lot like a rover?

Moreover, my “big” Range Rover L405 uses a 4.4 turbo diesel, which is used in Ford F150

Until the Ingenium engines almost all of the engines used by JLR were Ford sourced.

Including the 2.7 and 3.0 V6 diesels which are made at the Ford engine plant In Dagenham

Which engines in JLR vehicles are Mazda?

The 2.0 Ecoboost is a Ford engine as far as I am aware, the 2.2 diesel and 2.7/3.0 diesels are Ford, the 4.4 diesel is Ford.

Some of the older engines were BMW and the Rover V8 which was, if memory serves, developed from an old Buick engine with the common issues resolved.

The 2.0 Ecoboost is based on the 2.0 Duratec which was designed by Mazda as the MZR engine when Ford was partnered with them.

Thank you for the picture! Explained why I had a lot of oil in #1 spark plug well, some in 2# and 3# and none in 4#.

PS: I used paper towels wrapped on wooden chopsticks to soak the oil out :)

That is not correct. The Ecoboost 2.0 and 2.3 had a head gasket issue until a redesign around 2019.

The puzzling thing to me is that OP assumes that if oil changes weren't reported to Carfax, that they weren't done.

I have never reported one of my oil changes to carfax. ;)

Based on the pictures, it seems pretty likely that their records do not reflect all oil changes done, but I suppose it's possible. Oils have gotten better than they used to be.

I've gone to the dealership for oil changes and noticed that occasionally they are not reported to CarFax. I agree that people put too much faith into it. It's only as accurate as the records that are submitted.
