Raising a cow or pig, or other animal

Oh. Well, would a butcher give you that info? Wouldn't they wat to be selling me their meat?

There's a butcher here who'll make you sausage from whatever deer/game you bring in. Don't think he'll sell your meat to the general public though... chain of custody issues.

They add value by chopping everything up. You want a hole-in-the-wall specialist butcher just like you want a mechanic.

I could be wrong, but isn't that what killed Henry Ford?

I for one love the taste of raw milk, haven't had it since I was like, 8, but I certainly remember it. And I'ma firm believer that stuff that comes naturally has to be better for you that modifying them....

When I lived in Nebraska, I worked for a farmer who ran a dairy. He had all the stainless steel lines with clear plastic hoses and all the milk ran into a large stainless steel tank. Every morning when I arrived, the first thing we would do is have a big country breakfast, (his wife was a fantastic cook). As she was cooking, he would head out to the milk barn with a plastic bucket, set the bucket on the floor and remove the lid on the tank. Then he would take the bucket and dip out a gallon of fresh milk from the tank. The floor of the barn was nasty, constantly covered in cow poop. As he dipped out the milk, little floaties would drift into the milk from the bottom of the bucket and more than once he would complain, "I've got all this modern stuff and I still get a grade "B" rating. I don't know why." We all drank the milk and none of us ever got sick. Lucky I suppose.

They were really good people and yes, he had a daughter - a stunning beauty with long black hair that went all the way to her waist - wonder whatever happened to her. Now I'm going to be thinking about her all day long.

If you don't know what a locker is, then you should purchase meat from Wal-Mart and forget about trying to raise your own food.

A locker is a place that you'll take the carcass after it's been slaughtered. The locker will butcher the carcass for you.

Edsel Ford died of stomach cancer. As much as I don't agree with the raw milk advocates, I don't think that raw milk causes cancer.

While I have no doubts that raw milk can cause a number of issues, cancer is most certainly not one of them.

[censored] are people doing drinking milk in the first place ?

Most of us were weaned at least 1 and a half decades ago...and when we were supposed to be drinking it...it was RAW...

Bravo. Milk is only big in America due to the intense lobbying and advertising of the milk producers GIANT cooperatives.

No one needs milk after infancy, we are taught to like it.

Wow. I know that when my dad and grandpa took the pigs and the cow we had to be slaughtered - it was all done at 1 place, there was no 'transport' from slaughterhouse to butcher.
