Rain-X Spray Wax

Anyone tried the new Rain-X spray wax? They make great glass products,and I wonder how much of that technology carries over to their new wax.

Since it's a spray, it may make a good touch-up wax in between real waxings.

I haven't tried this yet but did try the Eagle 1 spray wax which is the same idea and it seemed to work well. I don't think it could perform as good as a real wax job but does make a great touch up like you said!

I selected the Turtle Wax spray because it smelled the strongest. It really worked well.

the rain-x spray worked very well for me. it is a little more difficult to use on dark cars (can look kind of streaky). it worked nicely as a "wax while you dry" product.

the turtle wax express wax spray also works well, and it's easy to apply and remove (one pass). it wasn't that great on a wet car though.

now i'm using the meguiars spray wax as an in-between-real-wax. it works very well, but it has to be applied then buffed off after it hazes.

even when i have found a good product, i keep switching around to try and find something better.

Bought some on the discount rack for $1. Any additional thoughts on this product since last year? I really love the Turtle wax express shine, and Eagle One WAUD, but I thought for $1, no harm, I can always use it on the trailer.

I revisited Rain-X spray after about a 2 or 3 years.
I had 2 coats of Zaino on from the weekend before.
A waste oil truck dropped about 10 gallons of oil onto the interstate, 5 cars in front of me. My bright red car became a red car with black lower 1/4 panels and alloys.

It misted over upper part of the car from wheel spray from the cars in front of me.

I decided to try the Rain-x spray in hopes of converting the thick oil film to a smear of oil on the car.

With enough old towels it removed 95% of the oil. I washed the car with a heavy concentration of car soap. Afterwards, I went over the car w/ the Rain-x spray and it looked good when done.

It took me 2 1/2 hours to clean it up. I got a nice undercoating for my efforts.

I finally tried this $1 discount rack wax on my Dakota. Not the easiest to apply & remove for a spray wax, but I like the end results.

I have used it, and still do off and on for between waxings. What I like is putting it on as you dry...then just lightly buff it with a second dry towel. BTW, it has a pleasant coconut smell, if smell is important to you.

actually. It beads water and lasts well.

If its a RainX product it cant be all that great...I know Im running out to try it.
