New to rack storage and they require fire supression for my I/O boat.

For 250 cu ft it's close to $800. Some older fire supression agents cannot be mfg after end of the year. So Novec looks to be best choice. Would be a ***** to need the system recharged but they are unable as the agent no longer available. And cannot switch agents. Must toss system and buy new.

And 8 to 12 week wait. Not returnable.

So I need to get the shrink wrap off and make sure the 250 cu ft one will fit.

The marina will allow storage while I wait for a fire supression system to be delivered. So that's good.

While I have never had one always felt a good idea. I mean what options do you have if you suspect a fire in the engine bay? Open the hatch let's in oxygen, maybe increase the size of fire or explode.

Automatic extinguisher is a must have for any good size boat. I think mostly standard now on anything over 27 feet but it been a while for me.
Good thing to have, make sure your insurance company is aware that you have an automatic fire suppression system once you install it. It may make a difference in your rate.
The ones I had were monitored, At the time that was a question from the insurance.
All that means is an indicator light on my dashboard attached to the extinguisher that stays lit up green showing it is in working condition.
