Yep, coffee is great stuff and if you can drink it, have at it. My favorite was 7-11 and I took it black. Never cared for the flavored stuff, nor the fancy.
Hey, I probably could drink some, as the skipping heartbeats are said to be "of no medical consequence," but coffee is said to aggravate that condition. Also I have had occurances of atrial fibliration (surely butchered that spelling), once for 4 days straight in '93.
I just had the stress test and blood enzyme samples (or whatever they do) and came up clean. This week did the ultrasound of the heart to rule out for good as was getting mild chest pain too. Seems the chest pain has subsided, either from the Prilosec (works great for heartburn) and I think the coffee maybe was aggravating a tender spot in the esophagus (spelling again?) as occasionally I would get some that was too hot and get a sore burny feeling in there. Actually may not need as much Prilosec now without the acid from the coffee.
Ah well, as Paul said, "I have learned to be content with much, and I have learned to be content with little." Definitely not exact quote, but the jist of it. (Ah, and am I content with my plenty 179 quart oil stash.
)
Hey, I hardly drink more than a few beers a year, and when I do drink, generally it is the NA stuff. I think it is Labatt's Nordic or something like that. Tastes like regular beer.
So now pretty much all I drink is a lot of fruit juice and water. Don't eat that much meat either, but definitely not vegetarian or PITA. I believe in killing animals for food. Just my sedentary lifestyle is not good with a high protein diet.
So yeah, ye who can drink coffee, do drink it! I'm not really coming out against it or for it, just noting that I am getting along pretty well without it.
