Agree. In the OP's case, it will be fine - especially with the lightly used synthetic. Smart plan IMO.

Why re-use oil? To save a buck? To minimize natural resources use? For argument sake? No access to fresh oil? Why? Personally, I run 4-6k miles OCIs with PP 5w-20/30 on 2 cars. One gets annual OC (4k mi) and the other 3 OCs a year or every 6K mi. Not a penny pincher but save where I can - doing work myself and buying on sale when I can. I stick to the slogan - you take care of your car, car takes care of you.
