You could go into a PartSource location and grab a Pro Series OE+ filter. These are made by PG so they are the same as the Carquest Premium, NAPA Gold, etc.

That being said, there are a lot of Carquest locations in Ontario and they sell the Premium for less than the OE+

Is motomaster OE+ also made by PG?

They should have a french side, or at least the fine print in french, and I see spanish added often as well.

Oh and, by the way, should Canadian Tire run out of hockey pucks, not to worry. You can always stop by any Tim Hortons coffee shop, and purchase their donuts which are just as hard and chewable as a hockey puck

Thread 'MotoMaster Oil Filter, now PG made?'

Historically these basic Motomaster filters from Canadian Tire are a basic Fram/Champ painted a different color, most all the spin on ones hail from the USA. Recently they're sporting different boxes, made in China now. Same price, $7.50 CAD

Look similar to the PG filters, my uneducated guess is that they're from Gki, a Canadian company that peddles these import filters. I'm curious as to if this will stick, and figure you all here on BITOG might find it interesting.

If they are premium guard, that makes pretty much every jobber type filter made by them. Kinda cool. Pictures below...

IIRC, some of the Canadian folks have posted prices of Car Quest Premium oil filters that are cheaper than they are in the U.S. Ya might want to check them out.

I saw one really old box and beat up. I was going to buy just for collection purpose . As soon I saw the picture with metal wire back, I want it, I don’t care it’s not for my vehicles.

It’s had 3 old boxes . I had to pick one that is best looking and sealed for collection purpose . My goal since they discontinue the OG ultra is to find a nice looking OG ultra for collection . Because Fram release OG ultra that what make me go back to Fram.

I been collection old oil filter , for example the Tall FL820S before they short is down a bit.

Last time I was in CT - the pucks I wanted were 3” pool tablets - way cheaper than what we pay - but not exactly easy to haul by plane …
