Question about Carquest air filters

Is there really a difference in quality between the standard line and the premium line? Thicker media? More pleats? Or are they just changing the box and price?

for a standard daily driver the standard line would be most equivalent to oe, if you have a heavy duty application turbo or high load conditions premium line would be worth the upgrade.

Their Premium line tends to have more dirt holding capacity. Standard line will meet OEM minimum specs which in and of itself may not be a high bar to begin with.

They are not the same filter in a different box.
