Quality replacement refrigerator?

Our 33 year old Kenmore refrigerator is going south. Shopping for replacement. Not french door type. 30 W X 28 D. Top Freezer. Leaning to LG or Whirlpool. What's good now and what's junk? Guessing Nothing will last 30 years now days. Our whole kitchen was Kenmore. Most of it was junk but the refrigerator stood the test of time.

Any of the brands repairable?

Low end LG.

Experience with refrigerator types has determined my choice. Many years ago, we brought my mother in laws house. It had a GE side by side. It went out shortly after we bought the house. I replaced it with the largest GE top freezer offered at the time. It stayed with the house when we bought our new home. Our new home came with 5 year old GE side by side. It went out not too long after we moved in. I replaced it with a similar GE side by side. I've learned my lesson. There is a 18 cubic foot Whirlpool top freezer model in our mother in law apartment. It's at least 13 years old. The only that I've done to it was add a bare copper wire to the freezer coils to prevent ice build up. We have a rusting 20+ year old Frigidaire top freezer in our garage that's never had a problem. It came from our old house.
Simplicity seems to be the key for a refrigerator lasting. Top freezer models are the most simple of all types. People buy Speed Queen washers for that same reason.
