Quaker State Ultimate Durability New Formula

Anyone noticed the increased moly in the 2016 PQIA Test of Quaker State Ultimate Durability?

Wouldn't this support a GTL based formula. Needing extra moly to meet the Energy Conserving requirement?

I did notice this, and almost bought some the other day for yesterdays oil change on the Accord. Chose not too because its often not available and I want to stick with one oil.

Looking back at UOA appears the High Moly version may have been introduced in 2014. The oldest UOA I can find with 200+ Moly was started in 2014. 2015 start UOA are a mix of high and low moly formulas.

I don't think that's true when PPPP which is widely advertised to use GTL basestock has under 100 ppm moly and meets resource conserving requirements per the label.

I think it means Quaker State Ultimate Durability is likely not currently using trinuclear moly.

I definitely agree with you, at the price they sell it for something has to give. When you see moly in those concentrations (like Pennzoil Conventional or Quaker State Ultimate Durability) I think you can be pretty certain it's not tri-nuclear.
