What exactly makes quaker state cheaper than pennzoil? Even other non shell brands cant compete with the price. Supertech and qs are priced very close.

Yes that's correct the big difference though is you can get a rebate on Quaker State Ultimate Durability! But not on Supertech.

In 2015/2016 when some of the newest Quaker State Ultimate Durability was tested, it came out with as much moly, boron as the Pennzoils. Interesting that Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5w-20 and 5w30 tested out near the very top of all oils in 540Rat's methodology. While that doesn't mean a ton, it put the Quaker State Ultimate Durability above the Pennzoil Platinum and on par with Mobil 1.
