Have there been any documented Quaker State filter failures yet? So far it just seems like Bosch Premium, Purolator Classic and Purolator PureONE. What about other inexpensive Purolator made aftermarket filters? It would be good to know if these were safe or not, as I used to like getting them on sale at Menard's and using them on other cars I maintain.

From the few threads I've been watching, no. There has been a couple that were cut open, and looked fine.

Disclaimer: I am not following this on a daily basis.

I cut one open recently, and it looked just fine. I posted pictures. It was a QS3614, on a Town and Country.

I don't recall seeing any threads with filters tears on motorcraft or mopar filters either, but not as commmon to see on here as Puro's

I think I remembered seeing one on a Motorcraft, but it doesn't seem as widespread with those at all.

I've used and cut open a couple QS Menards filters and found no issues. Two more on my vehicles now, look fwd to checking those out too.
