Ha. That's funny.
So much for professionalism, and so much for trying to keep a persons shortcomings under wraps, lets post them on YouTube for all to see.
I used to drink, and when I drank I was as haywire as they come. Now I've got to be somewhat professional but still wear my overalls so I can instil a sense of confidence in my customers. If they saw YouTube vids of me in my drinking days I doubt my company would have gotten any work.
At least in construction I don't have to wear a suit. I wouldn't make it. I'm happy in my carhartts

I hate to even say it but these guys are from small town Saskatchewan. A few hours drive from me.
Disclaimer!
These people are not typical of saskatchewanians, well maybe small town Saskatchewanians, but not us city folk.
Moose Jaw and estevan are the towns I could pick out in those vids.

Oh Man!!! One has to wonder! Oh well!-- a good chuckle to start the day for me anyway. WAIT!! I used QSGB for 2 oci's a while back; I had better get under the hood and check the engine-the sludge monster might have reared its ugly head.

Don't post garbage statements like this here. It is stupid posts and threads like this that are bringing this forum down. If you want to make dumb blanket statements like this, do it somewhere else.

That guy must be a dip ____, its a 3.4L gm motor, the intake gaskets probably started to fail 20k ago, and a very bad OCI regiment+coolant entry = that, doesn't matter what oil you used.

I agree(d) but was corrected/educated by knowledgeable BITOGER's that chemistry has changed from that green bottle I blamed for sludge 20 years ago. If you try running it for 10k, or are a neglector, I still say no. I suppose that goes for most dinos. If you change the oil on time every 5k, none of them will give you problems. Neglect, don't change the oil on time, most of them will. If you really really neglect, could sludge up with a hydrocracked dino (aka full synthetic) too.

This type of logic makes zero sense. BOSE is still in business and they make absolute [censored] (by comparison with other competing products). Same with Monster Cable. Those are just examples from another hobby of mine but I'm sure you can think of others. When you have people that don't have basic knowledge about something, like cars and oil, it can be easy for them to be duped by inferior products that market well. I'm not saying QS is [censored], however. I don't know, nor do I necessarily care.

Not sure why some posters felt the need to attack Skyship personally over this.

But doesn't the engine in the YouTube clip look very similar to one pictures elsewhere on the forum with a failed lifter then no oil pressure afterwards?

Will look up the other thread to confirm.

The other engine I think had iffy maintenance.

"Massive, massive"-man, if that wasn't some of the HIGHEST commentary I've ever seen on a YouTube vid! Change your dino regularly, ESPECIALLY after short trips in cold winter weather, this doesn't happen!

And fix the intake gasket that was obviously pouring coolant in by the gallon too.

Ummmmm no. Your car will be fine. Great stuff

Boy, there was all sorts of good information, logical conclusion and scientific support in that presentation. Quaker State is going to lose a lot of business now...mainly from other retarded mechanics.

I study policy analysis for a living. In my humble opinion, a single commentary on a Youtube video showing a dirty engine is hardly sound evidence - the list goes on of other factors, outside of oil brand selection, that leads to sludge.

Just be sure to keep up with your OCI and you will be fine, regardless of oil selection.

He threw PYB under the bus too. Really? Spouting urban legends from 30-40 years ago? Wow.

I was not really all that high on QSGB, not that I thought anything was wrong with it, it just didn't impress me much. Well our new KIA came with dealer installed QSGB and I gotta say 2k later I'm warming up to the stuff.

Very popular here for a reason.

Unless it's Maxlife ATF and you own a 4L60E.
