Quaker State Conventional vs. Mobil Clean 5000

These seem to be the least expensive brand name dino oil today.

Which is the stronger oil,that provides better protection and a better additive package?

Both are great oils for the price. Ive used both in the past, both were just fine in my vehicles.

If I had my choice I take the QS, not for any particular reason.
The green bottle maybe???

I'd choose MC 5000 for it's wide mouth.

I've used both brands a few times.

Quaker State gave me a longer interval before topping off. Otherwise, they both performed well.

I don't think I'd be able to pick, they're both excellent bargain oils... Just go for whichever one is least expensive and you can't go wrong.

Your probably not old enough to remember how crummy Mobil conventional use to be.

What was the deal with Mobil? When I was coming up QS and Mobil were always the same price, but I never heard anything bad about Mobil compared to QS. I have to admit, the can always looked MUCH cheaper than QS. :2cents:

theres not real difference is dino oil if its going to be drained 3-5k miles. i had used peak 5w20 in my chry. 300 and the car runs great. autozone seems to be the only place to carry peak oil.
