I see a few days of QSUD with a filter for $20 left at AAP. It amazes me how much cheaper QSUD is than other syns. I used to use M1 exclusively 15 years ago, then found PP cheap with rebates, then found QSUD ridiculously cheap, then found NAPA Syn cheap. Some conventional Havoline and QSGB for $2/qt once in a while, too. I just don't remember a Syn oil always being that much cheaper than others years back. Anyway, thought I'd share if anyone needs to stock up...

QSUD is a good oil for the price...I use it.. If the price goes up anymore i may change to something else. I did not see QSUD on sale here in nj. What kind of filter are they offering? Tearolator?

Up here, it's basically the same price as any of the competition, including PP. Both are on sale often enough if one cares to look. Formula Shell Synthetic is another option, particularly from the distributor, and if one doesn't need formal dexos1 approval.

going to sign up for speed perks before buying, hopefully i can get the $10 off 20 for my first purchase. i'll spring for the pure one for $2 extra. it'll make for a great extended oci for the 2.4 liberty. if i get a new mann made purolator i'll cut it open after 10k miles.

QSUD is good oil, currently using it in my 03 Ford Taurus. I only use MC FL820s filters on the Taurus. I will use just about any oil, conventional to full synthetic, but I prefer only OEM Filters. Weird I know. I used the special same special in October with Driveworks. Chucked the DW filter and spent 3.69 for the 820S.

Advance Auto parts in NJ has it for $19.99 through tomorrow. Yes it does include a "Tearolater" Classic. For 2 bucks more you can get a PureOne "Tearolater"

. It's still less expensive than Walmart's price without the filter. Besides the size I need, 14670, has not shown to be on the "torn list" here. I can always return the filter afterwards with the receipt for a refund

Will QSUD still be $19.99 after the sale, or, will it be some rediculous auto parts store price that cannot even compare to WM's price?

It will be some ridiculous high auto parts store price after the sale. Buy it and return the oil filters for refund if you don't want to use them.

If there's a Carquest nearby, they're also running the same special, except with CQ house brand filters. $19.99 with the red, $2 more to upgrade to the blue.

Thanks for that tip Matt. Wish I had waited on buying the $19.99 deal. I guess I can use the $10 on something else over the next 2 months, though generally other than oil specials, there's not much I buy at AAP. Well, last month they did have a special on the rhino ramps for $31. Those have worked out nicely.

The QSUD jugs will probably go back to the regular $35-$38 pricing after this week.

This is what I had stated earlier. Why pay those kind of prices when you can go to WM and get it anywhere from $15-$18 cheaper? I have read that some members will not step foot into WM because of "blah blah blah"........Well, if you like paying that extra money because of "blah blah blah", go for it. SMH!

DriveWorks filters are half off, they were on a cart in the back, so if you don't see them in the store, ask...

Look up your car and know the number, and check inventory before leaving home....
$1.85 each...

4 DriveWorks filters, a PureOne filter, and 5 quarts QSUD, $29.39

Less $10 coupon $19.39,

Less $10 rebate, $9.39...

The DriveWorks filters also fit a lot of lawn tractors, and generators...

The OEM filter is around $12 and 2 inches long.

The DW-241 is 3 and a half inches, (Fram 3614)
the DW-195 is just under 5 inches long... (Fram 3600)

So more filter for $1.85
...
Good filter for a beater car too...

Why bother with WM at all if 2X or 3X per year I can get the QSUD on sale from AAP for effectively $3.50/qt ($1.50 or less with Speed Perks), or the Napa Syntec at $3.00-$3.50/qt, or best of all, the Auto Zone M1/PP/PUP/Syn/Castrol/MC synthetic clear outs at $2/qt? No one here likely pays the normal oil prices at AAP (ie $33-$39/jug). I did use WM twice since August...but only because I had $10-$12/jug rebates to go along with the PP and M1.

Since joining Bitog 3 months ago I was one of those people paying nearly $5/qt for a quality syntec. But, I like it much more being one of those people paying $2/qt for many years in the future. I had no clue there were rebates during the year and $2/qt clearances....not to mention that now I know a lot more about the oils I am buying. Even being a member of another performance car blog, I'm constantly running into helpful tips around here. It's a lot more than just an oil blog.
