I'm more of a M1 person myself but today I did took a look at this oil. Can't believe how thin/watery this oil is but perhaps my Mobil 1 is the same. I don't get all caught up in the advertising game. All that matters is the quality of wether it's a true synthetic.

I hear ya, alot of people on here dont like the M1 but for hondas/acuras from what i have read on the uoa's they seem to do great with that oil.
That is why i use M1.
This whole advertising by Q got me thinking about how good is this oil and was wondering what people on here thought about it is all.
Havent heard many talk about the new Q on here much.

Some oils may provide better lubrication that increases the efficiency of the engine, but doesn't add horsepower anymore than a lighter set of wheels will."

That isn't entirely accurate. Horsepower is measured either at the crankshaft or at the rear wheels, depending on the setup. Fill an engine with a conventional 20W-50 motor oil, measure the horsepower, then fill the same engine with a good synthetic 5W-30 and measure again while also controlling for operating temperature, etc. and you will measure higher available horsepower from the second setup.

Quaker State's advertising is probably playing games as others have pointed out. However, it isn't true to say that lubrication has no effect on available engine (and drive-train) output.

I put it in my Dodge but drained it out in about a hundred miles, the golden horses running everwhere I went freaked me out too much.
