Please correct me if I am wrong (as I know their are more experienced "lube-fashion-istas" out there). All the diesel oils that are easily available will be rated for the new 2007 and later over the road trucks. But off the road diesels still can access the older more robust diesel oils, but you have to do the homework and footwork.
Here in Los Angeles, I found a truck stop oil change facility that carries the Mobil Delvac MX. This oil does not carry the CJ-s rating but carries the CI-4+ rating. Possibly, this is what you may be looking for and I wonder if most of the large refiners (Exxon-Mobil, Shell, Chevron, etc) carry the off the road lubes but make it available only thru distributors.
Finally, Napa carries Valvolines All Fleet Plus which, if I recall, is of the older diesel rating (CI-4+ vs CJ-4).
