Purolator LX10575 Virgin C&P

Here’s a typical example.

Remember that Mobil 1 used M+H oil filters but they are free to go to any builder for their filters. There is no guarantee they are the exact same as the Purolator 20k's. At the $8.50-$9 price point for a 20k filter is good. Filter posted doesn't look bad & the media is quite thick (dual layer) for the extended mileage. Knowing the FE's were only select models offered via WM I wonder how much of a selection is on these. Perhaps at least to be available for ordering on the website if not stocked. It's not a reinforced backing & the similar "dual layer synthetic blend" media to the competing Ultra's. Time will tell & I suspect more c&p on here since they are being sold at WM.

Here's the part # finder tool. :)

"Initial orders have been shipped to Walmart stores and should start appearing on shelves in late March or early April, a Mann + Hummel spokesperson confirmed. Filters will be priced between $8 and $10, and the 30 SKUs in the product line cover more than 95% of consumer applications."

What I can see, looks fine to me. For the 7317, ~$8.50 seems ok. The 20k rating a moot point anyway as few if any here would run any filter that long. It's marketing. For reference, current XG media Ultra rated for 20k miles too. As for M1, total speculation it's same filter as topic. Unused media does look 'perhaps' enhanced from P1. Can't see that as a negative. But the real proof will be in post use. As for can color, couldn't care less, my applications bottom of engine unseen.

As for typical results with Puro filter, example linked is the PL14610 I last ran. All close relative US Bosch Premium 3323 c&p, same results since. Typical.

Thank for c&p.

I'm not impressed and no big deal because I personally don't shop at Walmart.

I'll be staying with Microguard
