Good day BITOGERS. Decided to sacrifice this filter for everyone. Looks decent, kinda glad I cut it open. Made September 23, 2004 in Fayetteville NC too.

What they should do in 2025 is cheapen the filter element, get a bunch of loose glue, throw it in the can, then switch to dull louvers that may or may not poke through the center cartridge. They could slap 20K on it and probably sell them in mass to Walmart. BONUS: Paint the can GOLD. That would make it seem worth more and look more appealing to the uninformed.

Anyway, that's what I would do if I was in marketing at Purolator. We can only dream!

I was about to reply with "hey aren't these things ancient?. I remember seeing them on the shelves at Pepboys probably around 2004. Then I saw the date code.

Amazing how little these things have changed over the years honestly.
