purolator air filter problem with fit

Just a quick note i installed a purolator air filter in a 1995 Cadillac Seville and noticed it did NOT fit good at all there was a space you could fit two quarters into where the filter did not meet the filter housing on the car where unfiltered air could easily get by i checked the number and even went back to Pep Boys to see maybe the wrong filter or a defective filter was in the box but they were all the same i went with a/c and it fit like a glove.

Where was it made? I had a Fram that was made in China. I had to trim the excess plastic with a utility knife to get it to fit.

Avoid made in China stuff as possibly .

i steer clear of anything made in China and Hong Kong too except for maybe the Women

For some reason, the air filter box on those cars are odd. The K&N panel filter that is supposed to fit doesn't fit very cleanly either. I had a '97 SLS, and I always stuck with the ACDelco air filters. Beautiful car it is. Still runs great with almost 170,000 miles on it...but it's across the country in Arizona in my brother's garage.
