A Purolater reknown for tearing but didnt tear. Check the pics filter slueths.

Ran as a cleanup filter for about 1k miles with Mobil 5000 5W-20 in my recently aquired 5.7L Ram Daytona Hemi.

Some extra pleat space where the union was with the metal crimp strip. Any damage you see is from my hack with a tin snips.

She could be an oldie perhaps 2008 ish? Dad became paralyzed, truck sat 3 years, became mine then.

I have about 4 more new ones if this same puro classic.

Will be posting next the Fram TG that was on it during its storage.

Date code is Apr 6, 2011. Made way before the tearing problems started.

Looks cleaner than the Extra Guard on it during storage!

I like the look of those trucks - any chance of pics of the truck??

Doesn't HF have an exhaust pipe cutter that would work too? OP risks slicing a finger open cutting them like this.

They use to have one that worked well ... but no longer carry it.

Seriously!? In a effort to buy a ' really good one' .... I bought a tearolater!?

If it's a Bosch Distance Plus you'd be OK, but the regular Bosch filters have been known to tear also.

Hasn't been keep up for over a year, so there are more reported than what's shown.
