I was in at Part Source yesterday and they had some Wix

Do you know if they are going to start carrying WIX, or did they just carry the common sizes?

To be honest I am not sure.

In Canada NAPA carries Wix as their house brand: NAPA Gold

My actual bona fide Wix supplier shows up on there, the place where I get them for $5.

So just to finish the story, I did successfully get the PureOne PL14477 from an auto parts store in Markham Ontario. The cost was a competitive $9.99 plus taxes.

So while the car was on the hoist I took out the filter from the box and saw that one side of it was dented

. I called back the store as I knew they had just brought in extra PureOnes today. The guy offered to drive it to me right away...great service (PM me if you want the details of this store...highly recommended).

Btw, while I was there I ran into a Bosch Canada representative and he was confident that the Bosch DP line of filters would be available in Canada in the fall

I really needed this PureOne filter today so being able to pick it up in person was good for me. I guess I would have to figure out which Bosch filter is the rebadged PL14477

P1's are $6 in Ogdensburg if you live in the Ottawa area. 45 minute drive, fill up with gas, have lunch and come home with a bag full of filters and oil

Downside is I have too many filters and too many jugs of oil. It'll be a year before I get to indulge again.
