I've narrowed down my oil search to these 3 oils. Price is not that much different and i dont mind spending an extra few dollars to make sure my turbos stay spotless. I have good availability of all three oils. Cant make up my mind which one, I do like that ultra had moly and boron, like motorcraft, just in higer doses. I like that M1 now has MG like many HDEOs. Decisions Decisions...

OCI, undecided prolly 5-7.5k until warranty is up and engine is broke in. Id use motorcraft but want full syn due to the high temps the turbos might have.

Driving: 60 miles interstate and 8 miles in town driving each day.

You honestly can't go wrong with any one. I personally would run each of them on a separate OCI and see what your "butt dyno" likes better because they are all awesome. Then stick with the one you like.
Any one of those oils mentioned will do well for you.

PU is my personal favorite.(had to throw that in there)

I had to make the same decision on my turbo 1.4 Cruze and I've decided on Mobil 1. It's dexos1 certified and readily available.
I changed the FF at 1600 miles and plan on a 5K OCI for a while. Eventually (when it's fully broken in) I'll go by the OLM.

Your daily driving condition is very easy on oil and with 5-7.k miles OCI any conventional SN will be good. Any brand name synthetic will be more than adequate, buy whatever is cheaper.

I wont use conventional or a synblend due to a DI turbo engine. I dont want any deposits on my turbos, and there is some high heat from the turbos, thats why im looking at full syn.

Which bottles do you think looks the best? That would be the way I would pick because they are all great oil and will keep your ecoboost clean and running for many years to come!

I dont know if M1 AFE 0W30 meets the specs you need buy have you considered that oil?

Pennzoil apparently has developed the new PU formulation and acording to this other thread the new PU keeps pistons "25% cleaner than Mobil 1."

So if you want "factory clean"......

I know, I know its all marketing. In reality either of the three will do a fantastic job. Good luck.

PP,PU & STD M1 in 5w30 meet the Honda spec for Turbo charged engings. PP 5w30 has turned very good UOAs when used in my Turbo Mazda CX7 using 6K oil changes.

A heavy 40wt oil that is a totally inappropriate choice being way heavier than necessary.

The OP should stick to any one of the light 30wt oils he is considering, although I'd consider M1 AFE 0w30 for those cold Iowa winters.

I agree with using M1 AFE 0W30...

How do you like your F150 with the Ocoboost V6? I am really seriously thinking about one but not sure about a V6 over a V8...
A buddy of mine also has the same questions...

Also not sure if it is best to wait a few years to get the bugs, if any, out of the Ecoboost engine. Any issues so far with the engine? Anyone? Thanks

The ecoboost engine is great so far. I love having the power on demand if I want it. So far at 70mph on the interstate its been between 20-21mpg, not bad for a 4x4 truck on the interstate. I drove both the 5.0 and ecoboost, the 5.0 sounds great! I ended up getting the ecoboost because I got a [censored] of a deal on the truck. I would have been happy with the 5.0 as well. From reports ive heard the ecoboost does get 1-2mpg better on highway but the 5.0 gets better fuel economy when you hook a trailer up to. Since i dont pull too often with this truck the extra fuel economy is welcome. The ecoboost has been out in the taurus sho and the flex for a few years now without to many problems, and they even beefed up the engine for the truck application, 6 bolt mains even. So far I've heard more problems with 5.0s then the ecoboost.

Sounds like a great choice.

I miss having a truck because here in Wi it seems that so many drivers drive like [censored] and do not pay attention and I want something with size for the safety factor... I guess size does matter. LOL...

I run PP 10w30 with OEM oil filter all the time and no problems. OCI's every 5k miles, not the factory rec. 7500k miles. Cause, it's easier for me to remember with multiple vehicles...They all get 5k OCIs.
Towed 18ft car-hauler trailer with three full dressed Harleys and a Custom Chopper from TX to NC (Deals Gap area) Labor day weekend. Got 11.8 to 13 mpg consistent, no power issues. Not bad for a Supercrew truck with a V6 and 4x4.
And, oh the turbos on the ECOBOOST are watercooled not oil cooled...
